MIXTAPE: TIMIX - MIXEDBREED
After releasing the visuals for the hard-hitting “Plan B” single only two weeks ago, fast-rising Nigerian emcee and lyricist Timix now unveils his highly anticipated and long awaited debut mixtape titled #Mixedbreed featuring 20 solid tracks from the emerging rapper that will go a long way to solidify TIMIX’s position as definitely one of the New School African emcees to watch out for in 2012 and beyond!
To represent Timix’s conscious efforts at bridging the gap between the “Old School” and “New School” eras of Hip-Hop while restoring the true Hip-Hop feeling, this 20-track mixtape sees Timix in excellent Hip-Hop fashion and not only shows off his lyrical abilities as an emcee but his musical dexterities in actually creating full and rich songs - a trait that some rappers these days fail to posses. RAQUEL LIVE IN THE OIL CITY WITH 4 GMAs NOMINATIONS
Ghana’s soul singer Raquel whose claim to fame in the music industry was with the song ‘Odo’ is set to hit the oil city of Ghana on 3rd March 2012 inside the paragon hotel for her concert dubbed ‘RAQUEL LIVE IN THE OIL CITY’ along with her four Ghana music awards nominations.
The singer who is signed to Black Star SR Entertainment had new artiste of the year, best collaboration song of the year, Aphro pop song of the year and female vocalist of the year all with the song ‘Sweetio’ hence all the sweetios’ in Takoradi should get ready for some more chocolate.
In a chat with the singer she made known that, nothing feels better than getting a reward for the hard work you put in, so for me as an artiste I am humbled as well as grateful to God for His favor and on behalf of my team I can say the feeling is mutual.
She maintained: ‘What away it is to celebrate a GMA nomination, the very moment that I have to rock my sweetio’s in Tadi, so this 3rd of march nobody needs to miss the show, I will be celebrating my nominations with a wild performance’.
She added: ‘takoradi has not seen the best of Raquel, oh not when I have been blessed with a GMA nomination, so if you are even in Accra and want to know how I will respond to my nominations just join us inside Takoradi for the surprise’.
In her final words, Raquel promises a bright future ahead, as the she says the four nominations are stepping stones to bigger things to come, she also thank her team, management BlackStar SR entertainment, her beat maker Gideon the Genius selection and all her fans for been there through thick n thin not forgetting all media houses both radio/TV/online/print.
This Saturday the queen of chocolate comes to the oil city in grand style which is not just to perform but also to say thank you to her fans inside the oil city and its environs, book your ticket now if you have not.

Here is an interesting song from Eminiic which is definitely pleasing to the ears and will get you to bob your head.
Temptation sounds like a mix of contemporary Naija music (whatever we like to call it) infused with some House/Techno.
