'Bachelor' Creator Mike Fleiss Accused of Attacking Pregnant Wife

Mike Fleiss, creator of ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, has been accused by his wife of attacking her after she refused to have an abortion, according to court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.

Laura Fleiss on Tuesday filed an emergency domestic violence restraining order in Los Angeles.

In the documents, the 2012 Miss America winner accused her husband of attacking her over the Fourth of July weekend because she would not get an abortion, which he allegedly demanded.

The couple's 4-year-old son, Ben, was in the room during a portion of the argument that went on for several days, according to the documents.

Laura said in the filing, “This was not the first time he had threatened a divorce during our marriage, but now, he was using this threat as leverage to force me to have an abortion. In addition, on July 4th, Mike made the following statements to me: ‘I am cutting you off financially Monday morning’; ‘You are paying for everything with your money’; ‘Next time I see you, I don’t want to see your stomach’; and ‘You have a choice, you can choose. Have an abortion or go back to Wisconsin, but you are not taking Ben.'"

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Fojo Media Productions and Executive Producer of the movie, Mrs. Faith Ojo, the Reunion shares the struggles of women while living up to the expectations of the society. “This is a must watch for every household.”

While commenting on the film industry in Nigeria and its performance, Mrs. Ojo said that Nollywood actors are a match to Hollywood actors any day, adding that the support and partnership they give to every project they are involved in makes the difference.

“The Nollywood industry will be bigger than what it is today if Nollywood actors, throw their weight and support from their fans to make each movie a hit, that way the producer makes more money to plunge back into paying them for more movies.”

The 10 Thanos Comics You Should Read Before 'Avengers: Endgame'

fter a decade of building hype around the collection of six infinity MacGuffins, and a lot of doubt surrounding Thanos‘ ability to meet fandom’s expectation beyond that space chair he firmly planted himself upon, the Mad Titan finally decimated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Infinity War. Whatever skepticism percolated in your brain as you walked out of the theater, in the moment, when Peter Parker ashed in the arms of Tony Stark, we were all balling at this impossible cliffhanger villain victory. What was all that fervor about the MCU’s antagonist problem? Solved? Malekith is still trash.

Five minutes into his big coming out party and Thanos was already slaying Asgardians and putting the Hulk in his corner. In a franchise built on protagonists persevering despite their failures, the gargantuan purple mo-cap monster delivered a catastrophic climax in which not only the costumed crusaders had to absorb, but the audience as well. The Russo Brothers twisted the knife even further when they closed the nightmare on a contented smile from the righteous maniac. Thanos won.

A year later, and we’re eagerly anticipating the big fix that will return Black Panther, Spider-Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy to their billion dollar sequels. In a universe populated with Time Gems, Quantum Realms, and Captain Marvels, Phase 3 will not be the end of The Avengers. Duh. The mighty will return, and Thanos will have that smug smile wiped from his face. Of course, yes, we’re all worried about Steve Rogers. He sure does fetishize that sacrifice play.

'Stand By Me' is Stephen King's Most Personal Confrontation with Death

n 1986, a Stephen King novella, The Body (originally published in the Different Seasons anthology), was adapted into a feature film. This is not strange in itself — King is a prolific author, and his works have been adapted to film for decades — but while he is known as the King of Horror, this story was much more mundane.

Stand by Me, directed by Rob Reiner, is one of the best coming-of-age films ever to grace the big screen. It follows four boys’ end-of-summer adventure before they head off to junior high. They include Wil Wheaton as protagonist and narrator Gordie Lachance, River Phoenix as strong and sensitive group leader Chris Chambers, Corey Feldman as oddball Teddy Duchamp, and Jerry O’Connell as the begrudgingly included Vern Tessio.

They hear a rumor that the body of a missing boy has been seen not far from their hometown, Castle Rock. They decide that they must be the ones to find the body, and that finding and reporting it will make them town heroes. In a move that is incomprehensible by modern parenting standards, they lie to their parents about camping out in Vern’s field and disappear for almost two days to head off down the train tracks. Underneath the heartwarming quest that they undertake are some of King’s quintessential themes; death and grief underscore the journey.

When they first set out, the boys are giddy about their adventure. They sing, joke, and skip as they start down the train tracks. This walk in the woods provides a welcome distraction from their dysfunctional home lives, but it’s not long before their demons catch up with them. The first encounter with death occurs when a train comes along. Teddy stays on the tracks as the other three move clear because he wants to dodge the train. He stares down the locomotive as it approaches, and his friends don’t seem convinced that he will get out of the way in time. Teddy is furious with Chris for pulling him out of danger’s path. Chris apologizes and tells him that he can “dodge it later.”

Many Nigerians suffer from mental disorders

The federal government has said three in every ten Nigerians suffer from one form of mental disorder or the other.. Mental disorders, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), comprise a broad range of problems, with different symptoms. However, they are generally characterized by some combination of abnormal thoughts, emotions, behaviour and relationships with others. Examples are schizophrenia, depression, intellectual disabilities and disorders due to drug abuse which, in some cases, are treatable.

 “In Nigeria, an estimated 20–30 per cent of our population are believed to suffer from mental disorders. This is a very significant number, considering that Nigeria has an estimated population of 200 million. Unfortunately, the attention given to mental health disorders in Nigeria is inadequate,” the level of awareness of Nigerians on mental health, describing it as understandably poor, with lots of misconceptions.
 “By 2020, it is estimated that common mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and substance abuse-related disorders, will disable more people than complications arising from HIV/AIDS, heart disease, accidents, and wars combined,” he warned. The official said the aforementioned statistics is astonishing and possesses serious questions as to why mental health disorders are not given the needed attention that it deserves. “A policy for mental health services delivery was developed with several key provisions of the policy, including establishing a body at the Federal Ministry of Health to focus on Mental Health issues.
