CHAKKA DA SOULJAH “BE YUH BOBO” FT. IJEOMA

Sampson Chux Okonye, popularly aka Chakka Da Souljah was born at Ifo, Ogun State and raised in Lagos; The Delta State idigene started as a hip hop artist popular for his debut single titled "Monkeys & Baboons" in 1999. Through the years, he has consistently churned out good songs and done collabos with top notch acts like Sound Sultan, Baba Dee, Blacktrybe etc. He has also performed in various concerts, campus gigs, major and minor shows alongside upcoming and known acts.

Between 2007 and 2009, he signed up with Premier Music - one of Nigeria's foremost recording companies and home to some of Nigeria's legendary acts like Sir Victor Uwaifo, Onyeka Onwenu, Ras Kimono, Blackky etc. He released his highly anticipated debut album simply titled 'ICHIBAN' and it was an instant success... The album earned him a nomination for the coveted Hip-Hop World Awards (now known as THE HEADIES) in the category for Best Dancehall/Reggae album 2009.

This is his brand new single "BE YUH BOBO" featuring the delectable IJEOMA and produced by DEL'B. It is an offshoot from his forthcoming album titled 'TOP SHOTTA'. The album will house previously released singles like "Give It To Dem" Ft. Baba Dee, "Mumu Thing" and "Faya Jo".

IJEOMA STEPS UP: GETS HEADIES NOMINATION, DROPS NEW SINGLE

It may no longer be news that Ijeoma was nominated in the Best Vocal Performance (Female category) for her 2011 debut single “Oloomi” at the most prestigious music award in Nigeria – The Headies but the songstress is still excited and sees it as a major step to her destination.

This week, she’s releasing a new single and video titled “Bami Won ‘Yo Si” meaning “Spice Up Our Love”. The video which was shot by Dudutoonz Studios features Ijeoma’s Project Fame counterpart Praiz as the ‘video boy’.

“Bami Won ‘Yo Si” is a song about LOVE - a subject that the beautiful singer seem to enjoy singing about, considering her other renditions like " Oloomi", “Love In The Air” featuring Vector (November 2011) and “Take My Hand” (February 2012).

The singer will be embarking on a media tour to promote the new song which was co-written by Sound Sultan and produced by Spax. She will also use the opportunity to talk about her recent and first nomination at the Headies. “I must confess that I didn’t see it coming but I am grateful to God, the Headies, the fans and the media for the exposure and support since Project Fame till date”, Ijeoma says.

This release comes with a bonus track titled "Gengen"... it may be the singer’s last single before the release of her debut album but fans are advised to stay tuned.
