GRAMMY GRAMMY GRAMMY.......WHAT WENT DOWN

The 54th Grammys Awards took place last night . British singer Adele made a comeback and received a standing ovation after performing her hit song Rolling in the deep . She walked away with six awards including best pop solo performance, album of the year, record of the year.Adele has matchedBeyonce for most Grammy wins in a night by a female act.She yelled at the end of her speech: "Thank you so much!",Other winners include Kanye west for Best rap album and best rap song.

Adele with an award

It was an interesting night. Nicki Minaj came out trying to be like Lady Gaga in her red cape and failing desperately at it. The “pope” in her arms didn’t help matters. Katy Perry left home with her very blue hair which ruined the fact that she wasn’t wearing anything plastic and killed the mood for her divorce-angry performance. Nicki Minaj on stage performing a Lady Gaga knockoff which almost had me going into cardiac arrest and saying my bedside prayers frantically.

Taylor Swift’s wearing her normal-stunned-look which made me happy that I didn’t see her win any awards. But the night’s experience cannot be complete without the good: country music renditions, Jennifer Hudson’s tribute to Whitney Houston which she did well although she didn’t hit the famous note in “Saving All My Love For You,” Adele’s goosebumps creating performance, and Adele winning all the categories she was nominated in.
