Fashion icon and host of eTV Late Night Celebrity Show Debora Vanessa was recently named among the five hottest women in Ghana and it appears she is leaving no stone unturned to up her game. Last Friday, May 4, she caused a stir with her swag when she made an appearance on this year’s Smirnoff party red carpet at the Accra International Conference Centre. All eyes were on Deborah, with many wanting to take photos with her.
She rocked a tight black cat-suit from Asos which revealed her contours and sexy bum and wore shoes by Steve Madden with a black purse by Warehouse.
“I was very privileged. It didn’t even come to my mind as to who was the first. But when I heard I was part of it, I felt very privileged. Like I said I haven’t acted in 50 African movies but I was in it. I felt privileged.
People have acted movies since 06 but I was in the same category with them,” she spoke to NEWS-ONE on Monday about being named among the hottest women in Ghana by 4syte TV.
She placed third on the hottest list, behind Joselyn Dumas and Nadia, beating Becca and Stephanie Benson who placed fourth and fifth respectively. However, she downplayed claims that she had upgraded her fashion style at the Smirnoff Party because she was named as one of the hottest women in Ghana. She said she had been keeping her dress since last year and decided to wear it for the show.
“I have had this outfit since last year. I didn’t have a place to wear it to. Previously I had wanted to wear it on my TV show but I was imagining some kind of look and I was thinking it was a bit too much for the show. So I said let me keep it and do some wow photo shoot with it. But when the Smirnoff thing came up, my stylist decided I wear it. People were calling me cat woman at the event,” she noted.
Deborah is currently described as one of Ghana’s fashion icons. A couple of months ago, she was adjudged the best dressed personality on episode 12 of popular television show, Fashion 101. She is not just a television presenter but a video vixen, fashion and set designer.
Deborah grew up in Accra, attended Christ the King International School then to Wesley Girls High School. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Publishing Studies from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana, followed by a Master’s Degree in Book/Journal Publishing from the University of the Arts London in the UK.
She has shown her professionalism and passion for her chosen field by working successfully for both small enterprises as well as big corporations in Ghana, the United States and United Kingdom. She found herself in showbiz because naturally she likes being the centre of attention since her childhood.
Deborah has always been a ‘show’ person of sorts and has since found the right balance between corporate work and the entertainment industry. NEWS-ONE has some interesting revelations on her love life which would be made public soon.
