Kesse unleashes ‘the ugly truth’ claiming he is heading to the BETs and the GRAMMYs

Below is the press statement he sent.

Having been crowned the best male vocalist during the recently held VGMA, Industry Awards after being nominated with his single ‘OH YES” in two categories namely: the best reggae song of the year and the best male vocalist of the year which he won and the fact that this same song got kaywa to win the best sounds engineer of the year, it is time for him to let the world know what he is truly made of. This propelled Kesse to release a new 11 track, rated as the most internationally acclaimed and matured album to come out of Ghana, named the “Prodigy” with “the ugly truth” as the title track and other matured songs such as “the more I cry”, “superstar”, “treat her royal” featuring the 2011 artist of the year; Sarkordie. Most of the songs on this album are produced by the young creative genius selection Ghana’s emerging hit maker.

Kesse, who is affectionately called the Prodigy, says he is taking Ghanaian music to Africa, and taking Africa to the world. He is very optimistic of winning the best male vocalist every year and also makes sure his new album wins him lots of awards at the next GMAs, like the best record of the year, song writer of the year, album of the year and many more.

As if this dreams are not enough, Kesse says he is aiming at higher heights by making music that is matured enough to give him a platinum worldwide hit and place him on the MOBOs, Channel O Music awards, the MAMAs and ultimately the BETs and the GRAMMIES.

He also stated that, ‘ awards are not enough ‘, he hopes to make enough return on investment through album sales, merchandising, tours, celebrity endorsement, online integration other revenue areas and become a huge celebrity that will be respected, celebrated and become a catalyst of change on society through his music, performances and other social courses.

Kesse is happy to have been transformed from a music reality show contestant to a real time career musician, song writer and performer. He says his participation in “mentor” which he won and project fame which he came out first runner up with lots of fans across West Africa, was a grooming process that he benefited from immensely and now having signed with Aimers Africa, a sports and entertainment marketing and celebrity branding firm that is dedicated to promoting entertainment products and creating unique selling celebrities that drive passion, emotions, and profitability, he is ready to face the world with his genius musical talents and drive.

He finally commented on the music industry by saying “we are definitely growing, but as to whether this growth is positive or not, is a big topic to be debated. I see positive growth to be more returns on investment, being respected, celebrated and making impacts across the world. Music is life and quality music is one that has longitivity, transcends different target audience and communicates a message to the people. Let’s continue doing quality music and move Ghana onto the world wide map.”
